![]() ![]() Also, the pre for the 605 has the pots soldered to the board so unless the hole layout is identical between the two basses, the shafts won't line up. I swapped the preamp from my 605 out for one from a different bass - you can have the original one if you cover the cost of postage if you want it but I suspect the pickups one the edc 700 are different from the edb 600 to have that work well. I can suggest some circuits if you want to DIY. You might try simply adding a clean boost circuit to get more output - this will require putting a battery in your bass. Even with the preamp, the output was a little on the low side but the sound isn't bad - certainly good enough for live performance. I have an EDB 605 that I've done some mods to. ![]()
